Biathlete Natalia Gerbulova who took second place in the mass start at the PARI stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Tyumen, said that this season she had fulfilled her dream of going to the Red Square ice rink.
On Sunday, Gerbulova took 2nd place in the mass start at the final Commonwealth Cup stage in Tyumen. First and third place went to Anastasia Goreeva and Ekaterina Noskova respectively.
– I’m happy that today our whole team (Artem Istomin’s group) won the prizes. My family is calm about my performance and happy with my prizes. I haven’t seen them for a long time, so I’m trying to get the most out of myself athletically, because I’m not 15 anymore, and those sacrifices have to pay off.
Ahead of us is the Russian championship in Khanty, and on April 8 I fly to my beloved Kamchatka. It’s very cool that we had the opportunity to play with our Belarusian friends and compete together. Together with Dinara Smolskaya, this season we realized our dream – to get to the Red Square ice rink before the New Year, – Gerbulova told Metaratings.ru.
