Unfavorable conditions did not allow the participants in the final stage of the 2022/23 World Cup to begin.
The organizers of the stage in Holmenkollen were forced to cancel today’s competition in the women’s sprint. The reason was poor weather conditions, or rather thick fog that descended on the stadium due to which the biathletes could not see the targets.
The competition has been rescheduled for tomorrow, March 18. However, the new start schedule will be announced later.
It also affected the women’s pursuit, which organizers decided to cancel instead.
Therefore, tomorrow, March 18, there will be women’s sprint and men’s pursuit, and on Sunday, March 19, the mass should take place.
Ukraine in the sprint should be represented by Elena Bilosiuk, Yulia Dzhima, Anastasia Merkushina, Daria Blashko and Lyubov Kipyachenkova.
