Women’s sprint in Holmenkollen rescheduled for March 18

There will be no race today due to fog

Women’s sprint race in Norwegian Holmenkollen at the stage biathlon world cup rescheduled.

The sprint was supposed to take place today, March 17, but due to heavy fog it is impossible to work on the firing lines. Therefore, in Norway they decided to postpone the race until tomorrow, March 18th.

In connection with the postponement of the sprint in Holmenkollen, the women’s pursuit race, which was scheduled for March 18, was canceled. The women’s mass start will take place on March 19.

Five Ukrainian women must take part in the women’s sprint. First to start Elena Bilosyuk – number 12. Next in the race will appear Yulia Jima (No. 38), Anastasia Merkushina (No. 48), Daria Blashko (No. 75) and Lyubov Kipyachenkova (No. 103).

Yesterday in Norway, the stage was opened with a men’s sprint. The Norwegian Johannes Be won the race. The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Bogdan Tsymbal – 44th place.
