russian biathlete Ekaterina Noskova thanked the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) after competing in the 10 km time trial at the Russian Ski Racing Championship in Tyumen Elena Vialba for the opportunity to compete.
The gold medal in Tuesday’s skating “cup” was won by skier Ekaterina Smirnova, who showed a result of 26 minutes 9.9 seconds. Biathletes Noskova (+1 minute 35.6 seconds) and Elizaveta Kaplina (+2.13.7) respectively took 21st and 33rd place.
– Katya, today you have completed the category of master of sports in cross-country skiing …
– Oh great! At least something good happened in this race. I relied on my other state, plus the characteristics of the track. But it is also an experience. It was interesting to participate. Thanks to Elena Vyalba for the opportunity to speak here. It was great to compete with the best skiers, but today we couldn’t compete with them. Maybe next time.
Our coach Artem Evgenyevich Istomin expressed no expectations. He prepared us tactically for the race, so that we would break down properly, technically proficient past the track. In principle, I managed to break down, I walked the last two kilometers as agreed. The skis worked pretty well too.
– The interest of the public and the press did not interfere with biathletes competing with skiers?
– There was a lot of attention. But this did not affect my mood and result, – correspondent Noskovy reports the words.
