IPC tribunal to hear CPP suspension appeal in late April

The appeals tribunal of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) will hold hearings at the end of April on the appeal of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) against the decision to suspend the membership of the Russian organization, reports the press service of the RPC.

Last November, at a meeting of the general assembly, the IPC announced the abolition of the RPC for non-compliance with the obligations as a member of an international organization. At the end of 2022, the head of the RPC, Pavel Rozhkov, told that the RPC had filed an appeal against this decision with the arbitration tribunal of the IPC.

On Thursday, a meeting of the RPC’s executive committee took place in Moscow.

“In his speech, Rozhkov spoke about preparations for the face-to-face hearings before the IPC Appeals Tribunal, which will be held at the end of April 2023,” the report said.

The Paralympic Summer Games will take place in Paris from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
