The International Ski Federation (FIS) has asked the Russian delegation not to come to the meetings of the organizing committees in Croatia, said the president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe .
FIS committee meetings will be held in Dubrovnik (Croatia) from 3 to 5 May. Vyalbe previously told RIA Novosti that the Russian delegation would attend those meetings in person.
— Can you go to the next meeting of the FIS commissions?
– No. First we were invited to come to the meetings of the FIS committees, but then they said: sorry, we sat at the round table and decided that you should stay at home. We will not be attending online meetings as we have been told we do not have voting rights. What’s the point of us just listening? We will take care of our problems,” the correspondent told Vyalba.
Russian and Belarusian athletes have been suspended from international competitions under the auspices of the FIS due to the situation in Ukraine.
