Olympic cross-country skiing champion Natalya Nepryaeva admitted she hasn’t set any global goals for the current season and sees it as a passing one.
The 27-year-old skier won the sprint and skiathlon at the Russian Championships in Tyumen and missed subsequent races.
– If I’m unhappy with some individual races, I don’t care, to be honest. After all, it’s really a passing season, for which since the summer I haven’t set any tasks or overall goals. These are either the first two races in Tyumen or Malinovka. Before that, things weren’t going as planned. It was dark before the New Year. But such a run, when directly “wow”, I did not arrive. No. When I said that, I meant that the sprint is one of the hardest races. It’s easier to run the same “fifteen”: I logged in, ran once, gave it my all and went home. And there, four times in a row, you listen to each race as if it were a race in its own right, and you leave at each start as if it were the last. Therefore, it is usually very difficult for everyone to run on the second day after the sprints. You are morally just emasculated, – said Nepryaeva RT.
