Triple Olympic bronze medalist in biathlon Edward Latypov believes he has a good chance of winning the pursuit tomorrow at the PARI Russian Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Latypov, who missed the second shooting range, became third in the sprint race.
– The impressions of the race are excellent, as there was a close fight on every lap. Until the last meters of the distance we tried and fought, but there are some shortcomings that get in the way, but in any case, considering the current state, I am satisfied with the race today. Tomorrow there will be chances to climb higher and fight for victory.
Under the gaps, I mean the delay to the second line of fire. There is a hard approach and a quick recovery. After the third hit, I started clobbering. I tried to work on the quality, but I didn’t hit the right time for the shot and it just went like this. The first medal of the Russian championship? Before that, there were good races, but it didn’t work out at all. There is a chance to improve the results. I think tomorrow I have a great chance of winning gold,” Latypov told Metaratings.ru.
The pursuit races of the PARI Russian Championship will take place on Tuesday. The men will start at 9:00 a.m. Moscow time, the women at 12:00 p.m. Watch live broadcasts on the channels “”, “Match! Arena” and “Match! Country”, as well as the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
