Biathlete Latypov believes that the IOC decision on the admission of Russians will change more than once

Triple Olympic medalist in biathlon Edward Latypov told that the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the conditions for admitting Russians and Belarusians to international tournaments cannot be called final.

On March 28, the IOC announced recommendations on the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions in a neutral status. Recommendations include individual clearance, status neutrality, banning team sports, and banning athletes associated with security forces or who have expressed support for the CWO. A decision on the Paris 2024 Olympics will be taken “at the appropriate time”, said the IOC.

– I won’t go into detail about them now, as these are just regular recommendations. When there is a final verdict, then we will all together, the whole country, make a decision. We are athletes, our job is to train and race, so we will act as management says. Of course, we hope for a positive decision and a return to international tournaments, but otherwise it’s fine, we will race and train in Russia in the same way,” Latypov told .

On Sunday, the Russian Championship will host a women’s mass start and a men’s relay race, watch the live broadcast of the races on the channel, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
