– The Russian Championship is slowly ending, it’s time to sum up the season. What can you say about yourself?

– Many moments turned out, it pleases. But, of course, you have to tighten the weak points, work a lot of times so as not to repeat the mistakes that have been made this season.

What would you like to improve in your work?

– There are moments in the filming that need to be corrected. They were particularly evident at the start of the season. For example, the rate of fire was good in some places, not in others. All this must be improved to reach the world level. At the World Cup, there will be no such concessions taking place in Russia.

– About the world level. Lots of talk about IOC recommendations. You, being a CSKA athlete, how did you react to that?

– You know, I wouldn’t go into detail now, because these are just regular recommendations. When there is a final verdict, then we will all together, the whole country, make a decision. We are athletes, our job is to train and race, so we will act as management says. Of course, we hope for a positive decision and a return to international tournaments, but if not, it’s okay, we will race and train in Russia in the same way.

— Many talk about the oversaturation of this season. Did you feel comfortable running so many races?

– Actually, I feel good, but we missed a step. The season, of course, has been tight, but I wouldn’t say there’s a lot of fatigue.

There will be fewer races next season. It’s just?

– I think so. Not all athletes can run at a high level all season. Not everyone was ready to move to another city after three days of racing, train for three days and return to competition. In addition, the races were powerful, you had to give your best everywhere. It was difficult in places, I agree.

– The prize money motivated the biathletes to participate in the races. You had a winning streak. Tell me, did you win more from this than at the World Cup last season?

– No. All information is open, everyone understands what the prize money is here, what is at the World Cup. I think we should say this: Thank God we have them. But, of course, we hope that sponsors will come to our sport. We do everything to make biathlon more interesting. We are all for.

– Since today is the day of laughter, it is necessary to ask a frivolous question. Was Serokhvostov happy with the haircut you gave him?

– Danya was not confident at first. “No, I’ll go to the hairdresser,” he said. And I’ve already cut a lot of guys’ hair, stuffed my hand. I can do a lot of haircuts, let’s say, not bad. Dani’s problem was that he cut his own hair, and I had to fix it. It went well. A non-professional, of course, will not notice the shortcomings, but a pro will understand (laughing).

But if you take the work of some barbers, then I see I wouldn’t have done worse for sure. Yes, I don’t have a lot of equipment, although I bought scissors and a professional typewriter. But still, my haircuts are unfinished: there are not enough clippers, razors. It seems that they do not make a lot of time, but with the help of these things you can make a border, clean up unnecessary hair. You see all this, especially when you stare at that face for two hours (laughing).

– How long does it take to get a haircut?

– I started at two o’clock, I had a record – one hour and ten minutes. A lot of people say that barbers do the same thing, so I think it’s a normal time (laughing).

— How many customers were there during the season?

– There were five people here in Khanty in one week: Eremin, Volkov, Kayumov, Serokhvostov, Petrov. In the season there were also other guys. My hand is already stuffed, I’m interested in doing this. I feel pleasure, especially when it turns out (laughing).
