Ukraine’s women’s biathlon team will have a new coach. In addition, a significant rejuvenation of the composition is expected in the team. This is what the President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Ivan Krulko said.
At the same time, the functionary was satisfied with the results the men’s team showed last season.
“Yes, we will have changes. When it comes to the men’s team, Juraj Sanitra’s work continues. We trust him in the method he implements. Many young athletes have obviously grown – this is important.
As for the women’s team, we will have a new coaching staff. But we will announce the surnames after the meeting of the coaching council and presidium of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, which must approve these decisions. The announcement was not correct before that, but in the women’s team it is planned to rejuvenate in terms of composition and there will be changes in coaches. These will be local experts. The Presidium of the FBU should take place in the first half of April,” Krulko Suspilne sports quoted him as saying.
Recall that earlier the IBU announced that it would not return the Russians and Belarusians to the competitions, despite the desire of the IOC.
