“It’s terribly unfair, it shouldn’t be” – Tarasova on IOC recommendations to prevent CSKA and Dynamo athletes from participating in international competitions

Honored Coach of the USSR in Figure Skating Tatiana Tarasova told that the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ban the participation in international competitions of Russian athletes linked to law enforcement, and therefore athletes of CSKA and Dynamo, are terribly unfair.

“I think it’s terribly unfair, it shouldn’t be,” Tarasova told .

On March 28, the IOC announced recommendations on the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions. Recommendations include individual clearance, status neutrality, banning participation in team sports, banning the participation of athletes associated with law enforcement or who have expressed support for the CWO. A decision on the Paris 2024 Olympics will be taken “at the appropriate time”, said the IOC.
