“Every year at New Star Camp they build a good big air, and it’s a great opportunity for me to put new stuff on soft snow. And in general, the snowpark itself is diverse in its numbers. I really like the atmosphere of the festival. The whole snowboarding community comes together and loves to ski,” Yesenia Stepanova, Russian snowboarding champion (piste style) and world championship runner-up, shared her emotions from the festival.

— For me, New Star Camp is the best week of skiing of the season surrounded by friends. My knowledge of this festival dates back to 2014. Then, after the Olympics, I came to my first New Star Camp with my family, dreaming of starting to jump from big hills and do cool stuff. Then, every year I came here as a professional training camp, I raised the level of my skating and gradually started to participate in competitions. I really like the park, the music and, of course, the organization of the sports course for the riders. That’s why I try to get there every year, even if it coincides with competitions. The main goal is to achieve a positive charge for the whole coming year in one of the best parks in the country, ”added Yaroslav Lenchevsky, champion of Russia in snowboarding (big air), participant in the Olympic Games of the Youth.

It is worth noting that 250,000 cubic meters of snow was used to build a snowpark specially for the event, the maximum height of the large span was 30 meters, and seven jumps, a creative jib section with 40 tricks with a total weight of more than 5 tons, and a training line for beginners have been installed.

In addition to the sports section, the festival hosted musical performances by some sixty artists on five stages, including the famous rapper L’One.
