Biathlete Natalia Shevchenko On air, said bad weather conditions marred the marathon track as part of the PARI Russian Championship in Uvat.
Shevchenko finished sixth, 4 minutes 20.3 seconds behind winner Victoria Slivko with 13 penalties.
“It’s hard, terribly hard. The weather forecast did not work. At first it was not bad, then it started to rain, snow, the track crashed, and we crashed, it was very hard. A lot of people supported me along the track, and I was smiling, everyone saw it. I’m happy,” Shevchenko said on .
