The composition and the new coach of the women’s biathlon team were introduced

The Biathlon Federation of Ukraine has introduced a new coach of the national team for the 2023/24 season.

The new head coach of the Ukrainian women’s biathlon team was introduced. According to biathlon.com.ua, the mentor was introduced at a press conference by the President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, Ivan Krulko.

Mykola Zots became the new head coach. In addition, specialists were named who will assist him in the 2023/24 season. The coaching staff of the women’s team includes: Igor Yashchenko, Oleg Merkushin, Alexei Petrenko and Sergei Zots.

Alexander Kravchenko, who led the women’s team last season, will now be the coach of the men’s team B.

Under the leadership of Nikolai Zots, who led the team, 12 athletes will be trained, which will not be divided into teams A and B.

The composition of the Ukrainian team:

Anastasia Merkushina, Alexandra Merkushina, Daria Blashko, Lyubov Kipyachenkova, Kristina Dmitrenko, Anna Krivonos, Irina Petrenko, Daria Chalik, Elena Gorodna, Yulia Gorodna, Ksenia Prikhodko, Oksana Kovalenko.

At the same time, Yuliya Dzhima will train with the men’s team led by Yuray Sanitra. Also, Elena Bilosyuk will train separately from the women’s team – with the men’s team B with Alexander Kravchenko.

It can be recalled that it was previously known that the men’s national team of Ukraine next season will continue to be coached by Juraj Sanitra.
