President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov said that the Games of winter sports among the strongest athletes in 2024 should be held in Zlatoust (Chelyabinsk region).
– We are working on the creation of working projects, technical specifications, for certain objects to appear. Zlatoust is where the Winter Spartakiad of the Strong should take place. The Ministry of Sports positions these competitions as the main ones of the season. Also, the development of biathlon is expected in Kostomuksha, Murmansk, Kamchatka. As for Kamchatka, it is the place where we can extend the season. Now there is a junior team. There is a good stadium there, if the region is interested, we will, of course, support and organize competitions there, – the correspondent reports Maygurov’s words.
All the races of the stages of the Russian Cup and championship, the Commonwealth Cup of the last biathlon season were broadcast on the television channels of the match outfit.
