Silver medalist at the Junior World Championships Anna Gruhvina moved to biathlon, according to the official website of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU).
Grukhvina was included in the extended list of candidates for the Russian biathlon team for the new season.
RBU President Viktor Maigurov thanked the head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe for her help in the athlete’s transition.
– Anna Grukhvina is a gifted skier at the level of the Russian national team. I thank Elena Valerievna Vyalba for her help in her transition to biathlon,” Maygurov said.
Grukhvina won silver at the World Junior Championships in 2021 as part of the relay. Also because of the athlete are three gold medals from the Russian championships.
