According to the ranking of the best according to the results of the Russian Cup and Championship, as well as the Commonwealth Cup in the 2022/23 season published on the RBU website, the top three among men were Latypov (1162 points ), Daniil Serokhvostov (999) and Karim Khalili (970).
– What do you plan to change to prepare for the new season compared to the previous ones?
– A little bit of everything. Shooting, technique, physical. In the season there were errors, it is necessary to correct. In any case, the preparation will be different from last year.
– Is your significant pause before the third hit on the “rack” part of the list of problems to be corrected?
– Certainly. The reasons depend on the situation. Sometimes, a break is essential because of the weather conditions: the wind for example, to which you have to adapt. At another point, fatigue takes its toll, causing an error, or you have to deliberately delay the shot based on accuracy. We do not shoot at the shooting range, attempts at turns must be valued. I want to do everything quickly and smoothly, but it doesn’t work every time. That’s what the pre-season will be.
The level of World Cup shooting is very high right now. We have to comply with it, even if we are not performing abroad yet,” the correspondent said, citing Latypov.
Preparations for the next season of Yuri Kaminsky’s squad, which includes Latypov, will begin with a training camp in June in Toksovo near St. Petersburg.
