Head coach of the Russian national biathlon team Yuri Kaminsky explained the choice of the place for the final gathering of his group with the ideal conditions for the ski training.
The Kaminsky rally group is held in the Yakut town of Aldan.
“We chose this gathering place because there are opportunities for a variety of training facilities in one location. We use the ski slope, the shooting range and the snow slope. At the shooting range, we work on the mistakes we made last season, and there were a lot of them. The main task is to correct the shooting component. For ski training, here are the ideal conditions. Winter hasn’t even begun to end here. Today it will only warm up to plus five, and therefore all the time during the day around zero, and at night it will freeze to minus eight.
Accordingly, we carry out ski training, the second shot and pay a little attention to other aspects of training: strength, technique and game training. We try to use all possibilities. We didn’t risk just using the pool so the guys wouldn’t get sick at the end of the season,” Kaminsky told Metaratings.ru.
Kaminsky’s group includes Eduard Latypov, Mikhail Pervushin, Larisa Kuklina, Roman Eremin, Alexander Kornev, Danil Fomin, Evgeny Yemerkhonov, Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov, Rustam Kayumov, Evgeny Sidorov and Andrey Vyukhin.
All competitions at the stages of the Cup and the championship of Russia, the Commonwealth Cup of the last biathlon season were broadcast by the Match holding channel, as well as on the websites sportbox.ru and matchtv.ru.
