Three-time junior world champion Mikhail Pervushin changed his mind about the end of his career and intends to restore his professional status, Sergey Averyanov, press secretary of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Averyanov said that Pervushin and Semyon Suchilov decided to end their sports careers. Later, the head of the Moscow Region Biathlon Federation, Alexei Nuzhdov, in a conversation with , said that 24-year-old Pervushin trains in the team.
According to the SBR press secretary, he spoke with Pervushin, who has changed his mind about stopping his career and intends to restore his professional status.

The timeline of events from his words is as follows: All season, Misha thought about ending his career. Everything is in order with his health, there were three reasons for such an unexpected decision for the athlete: the absence of international departures; Financial problem; interests outside of sports (Mikhail is seriously passionate about programming and is getting proper training).
As a result, exactly two weeks ago, on April 28, Pervushin applied to RUSADA with an official statement about the end of his career to be removed from the test group. RUSADA accepted his application, after which he informed the SBR that professional athlete Mikhail Pervushin could no longer participate in official competitions.
During these two weeks, Mikhail managed to regret his decision, the regional federation offered him some solutions, and now he intends to restore his professional status. In the coming days, Misha should document this. But there is a caveat – according to the rules, an athlete must write a statement about resuming a career six months before the first start in which he intends to participate. I hope this period can be reduced,” Averyanov wrote.
Pervushin is a three-time world champion in youth, he won first place in the Russian summer biathlon championship. Recently, the athlete trained in the group of Yuri Kaminsky.
