On May 16, the press service of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) published the compositions for the preparation of the 2023/24 season. Reztsova was not on the list.
Pavel Rostovtsev, RBU vice-president for sports with the duties of head coach of the Russian national team, said that Reztsova did not undergo a thorough medical examination after giving birth, the athlete will prepare for the new season on her own.
