The International Skating Union has chosen “Music of the 80s” as the rhythm dance theme for the 2023/24 season, follows a document posted on the website of the Russian Figure Skating Federation.
The pattern for juniors is a foxtrot rocker, and for adults a pattern style step sequence (silver samba).
Any music can be used, but it must be released from 1980. The couple must showcase the culture and essence of that decade. Selected music can be edited/arranged/remade, the message says.
The Russian team will hold trial skates of the 2023/24 season in Moscow on September 16-17.
