Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin said that the Ministry of Sports is in constant contact with the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) and will do everything to ensure that the issue of deprivation of salaries of a number of biathletes of the national team is resolved fairly.
Previously, commentator Dmitry Guberniev said that Larisa Kuklina, Evgeny Yemerkhonov and Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov were deprived of their salaries in the Russian national team. All three are part of Yuri Kaminsky’s group, which is currently undergoing centralized training in Sochi.
– I have always believed that journalism is necessary to raise acute issues. We are in constant dialogue with the SBR. The question of the social protection of athletes is very important. We will do our best to prevent injustice. With the federations, we are now changing certain criteria. But it is important for us to do everything to meet the needs of our athletes. We are doing everything to find a positive solution to this problem, – the correspondent reports Matytsin’s words.
