“The RRF management signed for unsuitability and interferes with the development of biathlon in Russia” – Vasilyev about the salary scandal

The leadership of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) signed for professional incompetence, failing to independently resolve the issue of salaries of members of the Russian national team, it interferes with the development of biathlon in the country, the double Olympic champion, president of the St. Petersburg Biathlon Federation, told Dmitry Vasiliev .

Previously, presenter and commentator Dmitry Guberniev said that biathletes Larisa Kuklina, Evgeny Yemerkhonov and Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov were deprived of their salaries in the Russian national team. All three are part of Yuri Kaminsky’s group, which is currently undergoing centralized training in Sochi. Monday, Guberniev in the Loud! on , he said that the Russian National Teams Training Center was ready to increase the salary quota for biathletes, but was waiting for a new application from the Russian Biathlon Union.

– It turns out that the hype in the press had an effect, since the CSP is ready to increase salary quotas?

– First of all, it indicates that the current leadership of the Russian Biathlon Union is so unprofessional and so unable to come up with arguments to convince the CSP leadership to increase this salary quota, that it had to resort to Dmitry Guberniev and the journalistic fraternity as a whole. Why then SBR is needed, I do not understand at all.

To my knowledge, RRF is not at all necessary in this capacity today. There is enough general secretary Olga Podzolkova, who does a very good job as a secretary. He will be able to solve all the necessary problems that the RRF faces. The rest of the SBR only hinders the development of biathlon in Russia.

Here is a vivid example – until the press intervened, the SBR was unable to solve even such a salary problem. Well, these are elementary things, they sign their inadequacy.

– In other words, if it hadn’t been for the hype in the press, the leadership of the RRF would have suppressed this issue?

– They would simply leave many athletes without a salary if they did not raise this issue to a serious level. To solve this problem, in the end, I had to argue a bit. But is it the work of professionals? It’s total incompetence,” Vasiliev told .

On Monday, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin said that his department will do everything so that there is no injustice in the issue of salaries for Russian biathletes.
