President of the Russian Biathlon Union Viktor Maygurov reported on the work accomplished during the period 2020-2022. According to , the corresponding document was sent to the representatives of the regional federations on Tuesday.
The document notes that in July 2020, the SBR had debts totaling 28.26 million rubles, including debts on salaries and insurance contributions (2.86 million), award-winning athletes (2.9 million ), national team expenses for TM and EKM (8.96), taxes (6.08), school support program (1.66) and others (5.8).
Also noted is the inability to perform advertising services for the Moscow Brewing Company and Rosselkhozbank during this period, the suspension of the agreement with the general sponsor of SBR – PJSC Gazprom, problems with the official website and social networks of the SBR.
During the period from 2020 to 2022, all debts of SBR were paid off, all disputes with the Moscow Brewing Company and Rosselkhozbank were resolved, and a multi-year agreement was signed with PJSC Gazprom.
In addition, the structure of the Russian national team was built according to coaches and youth specialists to the Russian main team, which led, among other things, to positive results at the Beijing Olympics. A program for the development of biathlon in the Russian Federation until 2026 was developed and approved, and anti-doping work was established.

Maigurov added that great progress has been made to become a full member of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) again.

Maygurov led the SBR in the summer of 2020. He will be re-elected for another term in elections for the leadership of the RRF, which will be held on June 23. RBU Vice President Alexei Nuzhdov is also a candidate for the post.
