Olympic silver medalist in biathlon Svetlana Mironova explained why at the stages of the World Cup she almost always communicates with correspondents, but rarely answers questions from journalists who write.
– I have noticed for a long time that at the stages of the World Cup you are different in a conversation with and journalists writing. After the race, approach the camera and be very open and emotional in conversation. Then walk a few yards along the mixed zone to the recorders, and your answers get pretty dry. Why is that?
– I really like , I like journalists. They are cool and fun. Of course, that’s not always fun. There are bad races when you are a little upset. And when I approach writing journalists, I am very suspicious about this, because several times my words have been turned upside down. Due to this, a different meaning appeared and very bright titles appeared on it. I just saw it and understood that I spoke differently and the meaning was different.
Of course, I go up, but I often say: “Guys, I don’t want to communicate with you, because you can transmit information differently than I transmitted it.”
I know people are offended by this. I was told that at the Olympics you refused to speak to them after one of the races. Maybe you should find contacts, and not turn away, so that the journalists of the texts are a little more faithful to you?
