President of the Moscow Region Biathlon Federation and former presidential candidate of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Alexei Nuzhdov said in an interview with that the RBU’s criteria for distributing state funding rates to athletes is vague and non-transparent.
Former commentator Dmitri Guberniev appealed to the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and the Ministry of Sports amid news about the formation of the Russian biathlon team. On his Telegram channel, he said that some biathletes were not included in the Russian national team due to a sudden change in the team selection system, which was carried out in the RRF during the season. According to the commentator, the athletes were deceived. He also reported that Larissa Kuklina , Ilnaz Moukhamedzyanov And Yevgeny Emerkhonov deprived of the salaries of the members of the Russian team.
