Nikolai Gulyaev, president of the Russian Skating Union, said training for athletes continues regardless of when a decision can be made on admission to international starts.
The International Skating Union (ISU) has confirmed the suspension of Russian athletes from participating in competitions under the organization’s auspices. This decision was taken in 2022 in the context of the situation in Ukraine.
“In our work, we have not been guided by the fact that a decision can be made now. Predictions are a thankless task, when they make a decision on admission, we will react. We have to keep working now, sooner or later all this will end and we have to be ready to return to the international stage in a proper way, Gulyaev told .
