The Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) held advanced training courses in May and June, which were attended by 65 coaches from 16 regional biathlon federations, the organization’s press service reports.
– All coaches working in the Russian biathlon training system are required to periodically attend such courses. RRF now organizes such trainings twice a year. This time, the theoretical part took place online, and for the practical lessons, we gathered all the participants in three centers: in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Saransk. Of the regions, Altai, Vladimir, Krasnoyarsk, Mordovia, Moscow and Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Ryazan, Saratov, Tatarstan, Tomsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Chuvashia and Yaroslavl were represented at the courses, – said RBU Vice-President for the Development of Biathlon in the Regions Vladimir Barnashov.
According to Barnashov, the program of advanced training courses “Modern system of sports training in biathlon”, approved by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, is designed for 72 hours. The theoretical part is divided into six sections, and specialists also follow 10 practical courses.
