Anna Gruhvina who switched from skiing to biathlon, spoke in an interview with about her reaction to criticism of the CSP rate in a new sport for her.
Gruhvina changed sports off-season, now the 24-year-old athlete trains in a group Mikhail Shachilov . Previously, commentator Dmitry Guberniev said that biathletes Evgeny Yemerkhonov, Larisa Kuklina and Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov were deprived of their salaries in the national team. After the trial, the sportsmen were returned their fees to the Sports Training Center (TsSP), while Grukhvina was initially on the salary lists.
– For you, during the transition, did the size of the prize money matter, which is now higher in cross-country skiing than in biathlon?
– I didn’t think about it at all. But it was good that there were sponsors in skiing to reward athletes for 1st to 6th places in races. For youngsters who previously only participated in national competitions, this is a nice bonus, given that you are doing what you love. For those who raced at the World Cup, the amounts probably didn’t seem too big,” Grukhvina replied to .
– The whole country now knows the salaries of biathlon. It is actively discussed to whom and how much. On the slopes, curiously, everything is calm. Because everyone is happy?
– It’s just that a clear system was built in cross-country skiing. Selected for the national team – you automatically get the bet, no questions asked. The rest depends on the results.
– When the biathlon voices sounded: “Grukhvina just moved, she hasn’t shown anything yet, but she has already received a salary”, how did they react?
– I did not pay attention. As usual, that’s life. There will always be those who say, “She took someone else’s place.” But they called me here, created the conditions, made it clear that I was in the team. What questions can I ask?
At the moment, Shashilov’s group is preparing for the season at a training camp in Sochi. It also includes Irina Kazakevich, Anastasia Shevchenko, Natalya Shevchenko, Anastasia Batmanova, Tamara Derbusheva, Yulia Sheller and Kira Dyuzheva.
