“Discussing something with me is a losing position in advance” – Guberniev on Maigurov’s remarks

“” commentator Dmitri Guberniev said that the President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov will lose in advance if he engages with him in a public debate on the situation of the federation.

Earlier, Maygurov told that he is not going to publicly discuss federation issues with Guberniev, but he doesn’t hold a grudge against the commentator.

– If I were the interviewer, I would not ask about resentment against Guberniev, but if Viktor Maygurov’s conscience torments after writing an unpleasant defamation, if he sleeps well at night. And above all, does his conscience torment him when the RRF has not lifted a finger to help the athletes. They don’t keep sponsors, they don’t do their job very well, to put it mildly. Everything else can be ignored.

Of course he’s not going to discuss anything with me, that’s a losing stance. There is one task – to shut up, go somewhere and answer only practical questions. Live, if I wish, Viktor Maygurov will not look convincing. Naturally, he will be wary of talking about the subject of further communication. Communication may be different, but overall it has nothing to say. There will be nothing new for me in the interview.

The State helps athletes, everything is done by the CSP and the regions. SBR – writes slanders and puffs up his cheeks because of his “huge” work. Maigurov should sit at the bottom, not overshoot and at the same time look significant. I don’t have a grudge against them either, I know these people well. His task is to remain cautious until the end of the electoral term, Guberniev told .

Guberniev repeatedly criticized the leadership of the RRF on issues of athlete salaries, the departure of one of the sponsors, as well as Maygurov’s higher education diploma, declared invalid by the court.
