Figure skater Agata Petrova says Frenchman Benoit Richaud set her a new short program

Russian figure skater Agatha Petrova told that the upcoming season’s short program was directed by French choreographer Benoit Richaud.

Engaged in the group of Alexei Mishin, the 13-year-old figure skater twice won the stages of the junior series of the Russian Grand Prix last season.

– Preparations for the trial skates and the season are in full swing. We organized two training camps: in Kislovodsk and in Türkiye. They aimed to restore and organize programs.

I have a new short program, choreographer Benoit Richaud choreographed it for me, I think I was very lucky in that, thanks to Alexei Nikolaevich [Мишину]. The free program remains from last season, directed by Sofia Vyacheslavovna [Самодуровой].

We will go to Novogorsk to test the skates with Vladislav Dmitrievich [Сезгановым]. It’s the first time I’ve been there. You could say it was my dream. I’ll try to do everything I can for now. Before a long and difficult season, I think positively about it. I won’t talk about any overall plan for the season – I’m talking about a strong complication of programs – for now. Everything has its time, there is a lot of work to do. I want to show the programs in the beauty in which they were conceived,” Petrova told .
