The ICR will conduct proceedings against the coach who beat the athlete in Chelyabinsk

The Russian Skating Union will investigate the incident with the beating of 20-year-old skater Yulia Epifanova in Chelyabinsk, ICR chief Nikolai Gulyaev told .

On Saturday, it became known that Yekaterinburg skater Yulia Epifanova was beaten by her former coach Alexander Kardakov at the Ural Lightning Ice Palace in Chelyabinsk, where the athlete arrived for training camp.

— We are aware of the Chelyabinsk incident. We also consider aggressive behavior as unacceptable, we will look into the incident so that the perpetrators are punished and everyone understands – this is unacceptable at all,” Gulyaev told a correspondent.
