Olympic medalist, three-time world champion Maxim Chudov spoke to about the biathlon situation in Bashkortostan, where he leads the local federation.
The former biathlete is also one of the leaders of the Bashkir branch of the Dynamo company and is a member of the executive committee of the RBU. Multiple Olympic medalist Eduard Latypov and world champion Anton Babikov compete for Bashkortostan in all-Russian competitions.
– First of all, I’m happy for Eduard, who recently had a second child, it motivates him. I hope Latypov and Babikov will continue to represent Bashkortostan. There are work difficulties, like everywhere, the lack of international departures is frustrating, but everything continues as usual. Latypov is in the national team, Babikov is close to the national team, the youngsters have someone to turn to, that’s a big plus. Although the leaders themselves have no one to follow during the preparation, this is a disadvantage. Cherish those who are.
