Blaschko placed seventh in the Women’s Super Sprint at the 2023 Summer Biathlon World Championships

Germany’s Marion Wiesensarter won the race.

On Summer Biathlon World Cup 2023, which takes place in the Slovak Brezno-Osrbli, took place women’s super sprint.

The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Daria Blashko, who finished seventh with three misses. Three biathletes from Ukraine were in the top 20 at once (Kristina Dmitrenko (14), Yulia Dzhima (16) and Anna Krivonos (18)), and Lyubov Kipyachenkova finished 22nd.

Germany’s Marion Wiesensarter won the super sprint with two penalties to finish in 20:14.5. The silver medal belongs to Tuuli Tomingas from Estonia, and the bronze belongs to Lisa Maria Spark from Germany.

Recall that on August 24, Ukrainians Oleksandra Merkushina and Elena Gorodnaya climbed the podium together in the women’s junior super sprint. In a similar race for men, silver was brought to Ukraine by Sergey Suprun.

The 2023 Summer Biathlon World Cup takes place in Slovakia from 24 to 27 August. Today, August 25, an adult men’s super sprint is scheduled.
