Dudchenko and Prima are in the top 10 sprints at the 2023 Summer Biathlon World Cup

The best result of Ukrainians in the women’s race – 12th place Kristina Dmitrenko

In the Slovak Brezno-Osrbli, women’s and men’s sprints were held as part of Summer Biathlon World Championships 2023.

The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Christina Dmitrenko – 12th place. Julia Jima and Anna Krivonos shared the 13th position.

Anastasia Merkushina became 22nd, Daria Blashko – 23rd. Lyubov Kipyachenkova finished 37th with six penalties.

In the men’s sprint, two representatives of Ukraine finished in the top 10. Anton Dudchenko became 5th, Artem Prima – 8th. Both Ukrainians did not miss shooting.

Taras Lesyuk finished the race 13th, Bogdan Tsymbal – 17th, Ruslan Tkalenko – 29th. Denis Nasyko finished the race outside the top 50 – 58th position.

At the 2023 Summer World Cup, Ukraine has already won six medals. Alexandra Merkushina and Elena Gorodnaya together climbed the podium in the women’s junior super sprint. In a similar race in men, silver was brought to Ukraine by Sergey Suprun, and in the super sprint among adults, Artem Tishchenko won bronze.

Bogdan Borkovsky, Stepan Kinash and Vitaliy Mandzyn took the entire podium in the junior sprint.

The 2023 Summer Biathlon World Cup takes place in Slovakia from 24 to 27 August. On Sunday, junior pursuits and senior mass starts will take place.
