Head of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov admitted to reporters that when electing the new president of the organization, he did not wait for the promised support of several people.
On Thursday, a conference on reports and elections of the RBU was held in Moscow. Maygurov and RBU Vice President Alexei Nuzhdov claimed the position of head of the organization. According to the results of the vote, none of the candidates won 2/3 of the votes, Maigurov was supported by 35 delegates, Nuzhdov – by 18.
