On June 23, RUSADA’s Anti-Doping Disciplinary Commission (DAC) reviewed the case of Russian speed skater Mikhail Kazelin, whose sample dated October 9, 2020 contained traces of the banned substance Ligandrol (LGD-4033).
After reviewing all of the circumstances of the case, the DAC decided to reduce the ban based on the athlete’s minor misconduct from the 4-year standard to 12 months, making up for the period of ineligibility Caselin served from 27 October 2020 to January 29. 2021. Thus, the athlete still has nine months of disqualification to serve, until the end of February 2023.
The athlete’s interests were represented by Lisin, Mishin and Partners.
Caselin is the 2018 Russian champion in the team sprint.
