‘Eight misses are very legendary’ – Gruhvina on his first Commonwealth Cup run

Biathlete Anna Gruhvina summed up his first race at the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup in Sochi.

Before the start of the preparatory period, Grukhvina switched from cross-country skiing to biathlon. The 23-year-old finished 30th in the sprint on Thursday with eight penalties at the shooting range.

“Eight misses is very legendary. It was the first time I had shot like that, but the problem was that there was a very strong wind at the sighting, a cloud was descending. I got to bed, the flags are straight, there is no wind. And we made a lot of adjustments. The first hit, the second – a miss, but I do the same and work smoothly. And so four in a row.

In principle, I no longer got upset, I think I’ll get by. During the first race, I tasted everything, the track is hard. Very functional, everything is fine. We will continue to work and learn from these mistakes,” Grukhvina said on .
