Belarusian biathlete Anton Smolsky won the pursuit race at the first stage of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Summer Biathlon Cup in Sochi.
Smolsky was the first to complete the distance and held the lead until the finish. In total, the Belarusian athlete made 4 mistakes during the race. Second in the chase was Eduard Latypov, who started sixth. The leading trio was completed by Anton Babikov, who moved up from 10th position. The two Russians made three shooting errors.
