Athletistic / Speed skating. The Executive Committee of the Russian Skating Union considered the issue of transferring two Russian speed skaters to the Kazakhstan national team. The organization approved the transfer of national champion Kristina Silaeva and national championship medalist Elizaveta Golubeva, Match TV reports.

Athletes will have to undergo a 24-month quarantine. The countdown to the quarantine period began on July 3, 2023.
Golubeva, 26, is the junior all-around world champion and European team sprint champion. Silaeva, 23, is the current Russian 500m champion.
