“Anya could pinch, I could throw her” – Kostomarov about performances with Semenovich

Olympic ice dancing champion Roman Kostomarov On the air of the show “Secret to a Million” on NTV, he remembered his joint performances with Anna Semenovich.

Since January this year, Kostomarov has suffered several amputations after hospitalization. In early July, the 46-year-old skater announced that he had been released from the hospital.

At the end of August, Kostomarov first appeared on the ice in front of the public after illness and operations at Ilya Averbukh’s show in Sochi.

— Did you scold Anna for being overweight?

— I don’t remember, I rarely scolded my partners for being overweight, they knew how to take care of themselves. Girls are very cunning, if you swear, then there is a position of tango, waltz, foxtrot, where the partner can pinch or bite unnoticed. You are stronger when you feel what she does, you can let go gently, she will fall. No one gives up and those who do get no results.

Anya could have pinched her, I could have thrown her, it didn’t happen so often, there were verbal altercations more often,” Kostomarov said.

According to Semenovich, the broccoli soup prepared by the figure skater helped improve the relationship.

“I always liked broccoli, it was cheap, there was little money, you buy a chicken breast, cook this soup, Roma always liked this soup, he said: “Semenovich , how deliciously you cook,” the singer recalls.

Kostomarov and Semenovich in the 1999/2000 season took second place at the Russian Championship and became 13th at the World Championship.

Together with Tatyana Navka, Kostomarov won the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. The duo also won the World Championships twice and won gold at the European Championships three times. Kostomarov also played in tandem with Ekaterina Davydova.
