Biathlete Ekaterina Noskova after the women’s relay at the Russian Championships in Tyumen, she told that it was still difficult for her to get into competition mode.
On Sunday, the Sverdlovsk region team won gold medals in the women’s relay at the Alfa-Bank Russian Summer Biathlon Championships, which are being held in Tyumen. Natalia Shevchenko, Irina Kazakevich, Anastasia Shevchenko and Tamara Derbusheva covered the distance in 1 hour 10 minutes 29.2 seconds with three penalty loops. Noskova became a silver medalist of the competition as part of the first team of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.
— I probably rate my performance at four minuses. Still, I need to work more precisely on the lines, but from the first round I rushed to win back. In principle, I felt pretty good today, but apparently I went too far with the pace and it was very difficult to shoot – I couldn’t catch my breath. Therefore, I’m not happy with the shot, but the movement and how it worked at range wasn’t bad.
— The composition of the KhMAO women’s team is very powerful. Before the start, did you consider yourselves favorites?
– For many years, these three teams – mainly, of course, Khanty and the Sverdlovsk region – have been constantly fighting for first place. Tyumen also has a good squad, which they have confirmed by now taking first place.
— You have four errors each in the sprint and relay. Could this be because you have a new rifle?
— I have new stock, but I don’t attribute all the problems to that. However, I haven’t run for a long time and for the moment I can’t get into competition mode. Everything is going well in training, but I still can’t transfer what I develop in training to competition.
— Why did you decide to change your stock and how long ago did you do it?
“I had this one for quite a long time, and there were times I didn’t like it. I wanted to change it and make myself a rifle. I changed it in May, that is, I worked with the new one all summer,” Noskova told .
All Russian Championship races are broadcast live on the channel and broadcasts are also available on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
