“I just ran and I am ready to make all the decisions” – Ivliev on possible admission to international competitions

Olympic silver medalist in short track speed skating Konstantin Ivliev told that he was happy to return to competitions and was ready for any decision by the International Skating Union (ISU) regarding possible admission to tournaments.

Ivliev won the 1000 meters on Sunday at the first stage of the Russian Cup in Kolomna, with which the short track opened the competition season. Russian athletes have been suspended from all international competition under the auspices of the ISU due to the situation in Ukraine.

– I feel good, I missed the competition, the fight was normal. It was fun to compete with the guys, so I’m happy to be back competing.

— What distance was the most intense struggle for you?

— 1500 m.

—Are you satisfied with the “thousand”?

— I think this is normal for the start of the season, no particularly grandiose objective has been set for this start.

— What is the outcome of the competition? Are you going to run all the stages of the Cup?

— For the moment, everything is planned, I will start in Saint Petersburg. There will also be two Russian championships.

—And are you going to do the whole thing?

– Duty.

— Do you have the feeling that the competition is not so tight or that the speed is decreasing, the level is decreasing?

– Not at all, quite the contrary.

— Are you waiting for the decision of the next ISU Council meeting?

“I’m just racing and ready to make all the decisions,” Ivliev told .
