Skater Kulizhnikov about the ISU council: “They won’t decide anything there, there is no light”

World speed skating record holder Pavel Kulizhnikov does not think that the current meeting of the Council of the International Skating Union (ISU) will end in favor of the Russians.

Russian speed skaters have been suspended from competitions under the auspices of the ISU due to the situation in Ukraine.

— Now the ISU council is underway…

– They won’t solve anything there. We all see very well what is happening in the world and what anti-Russian sentiments exist. No light.

— Do you have enough Russian departures to maintain your desire to continue?

“We get paid, we train and perform. This is a workflow. That season I took a break after six years of working at a high level, I think I deserved everything, but there were those who suggested removing me from the team national,” Kulizhnikov told .

The ISU Council will take place from October 6 to 8 in Lausanne.
