Olympic biathlon champion Justine Brezaz-Boucher commenting on the return to the team of the accused of fraud Julie Simon said she intended to focus on her career and did not want to pay attention to personal problems.
In July, reports emerged that Simon, a two-time world champion, was suspected of bank card fraud. One of the complaints against Simone was filed by Brezaz-Boucher. Justine’s lawsuit states that Simone used her credit card and made purchases worth between one thousand and two thousand euros, but the athlete denied all accusations. After the investigation began, Simon trained individually, and on Monday the biathlete began training with the main squad of the national team.
– This is of course a special situation. I think I did what I needed to do in accordance with my values. Everything is clear to me. I accepted this.
Today, I really want to concentrate on my sporting career. I think the team’s goal is to focus on results, leaving personal issues aside. We are smart enough to separate work and staff,” Brezaz-Boucher said, as quoted by Fondo Italia.
The first stage of the World Cup will take place in Ostersund, Sweden, from November 25 to December 3.
