Rozhkov – about Anfisa Reztsova: “A big loss. Such a person should have lived 100 years.

Biathlon world champion Sergei Rozhkov told that the three-time Olympic champion in biathlon and cross-country skiing Anfisa Reztsova was a benchmark for all athletes.

Reztsova died on October 19 at the age of 58.

— The news was a shock to me. Knowing Anfisa, everyone really understood that a person like her, with her vital activity and sports health, which God gave her, would live at least 100 years. She was for us a guide in relation to sport, to a career, she gave all her strength to sport and to the soul.

For all of us, Anfisa’s death is a great loss. “She was a charismatic person, active life position and always had a personal opinion, although sometimes it differed from the opinion of the majority,” Rozhkov told .

Reztsova won gold and silver in cross-country skiing at the 1988 Olympics and also won three world championships. In biathlon, the athlete won gold at the 1992 (sprint) and 1994 (relay) Games, and also became a silver medalist at the world championships.
