Russian skeleton team senior coach Denis Alimov told that the 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Elena Nikitin Left the country.
Earlier on Saturday, Alimov announced that Nikitina had retired. According to the coach, he wrote a statement on Friday regarding the athlete’s expulsion.
– She is not in Russia.

– Yes. I was in contact with her. She said she was ready to end her career.

– I don’t know. It’s a mystery to me,” Alimov told .
Nikitina, 30, is a 2014 Olympic bronze medalist, a three-time World Championship bronze medalist and a four-time European champion. In 2019, Nikitina became the first Russian woman to win the Skeleton World Cup.
