Simon, double biathlon world champion, arrested in a fraud case – media

French biathlete Julie Simon arrested as part of an investigation into a case of bank card fraud, reports Le Dauphine.

Tuesday morning, police arrested Simone in Albertville and will question him on fraud charges.

In July, reports emerged that Simon, 27, was suspected of bank card fraud. One of the complaints against Simone was filed by a member of the French biathlon team headquarters, the second by the Olympic champion Justine Brezaz-Boucher . Brezaz-Boucher’s lawsuit says Simone used her credit card during the Blink biathlon festival and made purchases worth between one thousand and two thousand euros. Brezaz-Boucher filed a complaint with the French Ski Federation. A disciplinary hearing was held in early June, during which Simone presented her version of events and denied all allegations.

Simone is a silver medalist at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games in mixed relay and a double world champion (2021, 2023).
