“The ISU is doing stupid things. Well, let them enjoy it, but without the Russians their income will decrease even more.” – Rodnina

Three-time Olympic figure skating champion Irina Rodnina answered a question about the possible return of Russian figure skaters to international competitions.

The International Skating Union (ISU) previously confirmed the exclusion of Russians from competitions organized under its auspices.

— Should we expect the return of Russian figure skaters next year? I have no idea, you’ll have to ask a fortune teller. Meanwhile, the ISU is doing stupid things and apparently likes to hold competitions without the strongest skaters. Well, let them enjoy it, but without the Russians their income will decrease even more,” Rodnina said, as quoted by RB Sport.

At the end of March, the IOC announced recommendations for the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions. Recommendations include individual admission, neutral status, banning participation in team sports, and banning the participation of athletes associated with security forces or who have expressed support for the SVO.
